GPS tracker fitting in Baku and across Azerbaijan

Book professional GPS tracker fitting for cars, lorries, buses and plant and heavy equipment: from the Chevrolet Cobalt and Damas to MAN units and excavators. Our mobile crew works on your premises in Baku and the regions, a car takes 30-40 minutes to fit, and both the hardware and the fitting work carry a one-year warranty. On vehicles still under dealer warranty we connect without cutting into the factory loom and hand you the wiring diagram so you can clear it with the service centre.

What the service is
What the service delivers

Every vehicle is visible in Wialon, and ignition, mileage and all connected sensors are checked before the crew leaves. For each vehicle you get a handover certificate with photographs of the mounting point, a power wiring diagram and the seal number. Logins for go.gps.az and the mobile app are issued the same day.

Good fitting is the foundation of control

Buying a GPS tracker is only half the job. What matters is fitting it properly, so the hardware runs reliably and nobody can quietly switch it off.

The quality of a concealed installation decides how dependable the whole system is: a tracker fitted correctly is protected against unauthorised disconnection and outside interference. Our engineers do a deep concealed installation behind the dashboard, seal the connections and place aerials where there is no metal above them, so the satellite signal holds up in dense city streets. In the mountains, where there is no mobile network, the tracker writes points to memory and sends them later. We come to you: the fitting crew will drive out to your garage or yard in any region.

Over the years we have fitted everything - from Chevrolet Cobalts in taxi work and Damas vans on deliveries to tractor units running to Turkey and excavators on building sites in Karabakh. GPS tracker fitting in Baku usually happens right in the customer's yard; a separate crew travels out to the regions.

How the work goes

How the work goes, step by step

01 · Enquiry

List of vehicles

Makes, years, where they work, which sensors are needed. We match a tracker to each vehicle.

02 · Inspection

Location and power

We look at the wiring and choose a concealed spot. Where we can, we connect without cutting in.

03 · Fitting

Installation and setup

We fit the tracker, set up data transmission and create the unit in Wialon.

04 · Checks

Acceptance on site

Point on the map, ignition, mileage, alert on power loss.

05 · Handover

Certificate and access

Certificate, wiring diagram, Wialon login and a short briefing.

A day in the life

What a crew visit to a fleet looks like

An illustrative example: six vans at a yard in Khirdalan, fitted over a working day without taking every vehicle off the road at once.

  1. Crew at the yard, checking the vehicle list 6 vehicles

    Vehicles needed on the road in the morning are done last.

  2. First two vehicles under way in parallel

    One fitter installs the tracker, the other checks the data in Wialon.

  3. One vehicle has no free space behind the dashboard decided on site

    We move the tracker to another concealed spot and record it in the wiring diagram.

  4. All vehicles on the map, events verified acceptance

    Power cut, ignition, mileage - on every vehicle.

  5. Certificate, diagrams and logins handed over done

    The dispatcher can already see the fleet; report setup is a separate conversation.

How a fitting goes: from the phone call to the point on the map

1. A short conversation. We establish the makes and number of vehicles, what you need (simply seeing the vehicles, measuring fuel, immobilising the engine) and where the fleet is based. The result is an equipment list and a quotation.

2. Preparation. We flash the trackers, fit the SIM cards and create the units in Wialon beforehand. All that is left on site is the fitting - the crew does not spend your time on configuration.

3. Fitting. A car takes 30-40 minutes, a lorry with a CAN connection 1.5-2 hours, and one with a fuel level sensor 3-5 hours including calibration. A fleet of 20-30 cars is usually equipped by one crew in a day or two.

4. Checks and handover. Every vehicle appears on the map before the crew leaves, and we verify ignition, mileage and all connected sensors. You receive a login for go.gps.az and the mobile app.

We need little from you: the vehicles on site at the agreed time, the keys, and someone who knows which vehicle belongs to which driver. A detailed walk-through with photographs is in the article how a GPS tracker is fitted.

Keeping the warranty of Azerbaijani car dealers

Keeping the warranty of Azerbaijani car dealers

The most common worry among owners of new vehicles (Tracker, Onix, Kia) is: will this void the dealer warranty?

We use safe connection methods:

  • Contactless CAN readers (for example the CAN-Crocodile or the Teltonika ECAN02): we do not cut the factory wiring, we read the signal through the insulation.
  • Connection through the fuse box: no interference with the wiring loom.

We do not cut the factory wiring. But the warranty decision rests with the dealer under their own terms, and those differ from marque to marque: some have no objection to a connection through a fuse, others require any additional equipment to be cleared with them. So on a vehicle under warranty the order of things is this:

  • before fitting we give you the wiring diagram: power points, the method of reading CAN data, where the tracker goes;
  • you show it to the dealer's service centre or check it against the terms in the warranty book;
  • if the dealer wants a different connection point, or wants the work done on their own premises, we work to their requirement;
  • after fitting, the diagram and the photographs stay with you and are attached to the handover certificate.

The risks of an unprofessional installation

A job done by the electrician down at the garages, or a tracker with no identifiable manufacturer and no support, tends to save money at the start and cost more later:

Sabotage

The driver finds the tracker easily, pulls the power or wraps it in foil, and the vehicle disappears from the map.

A flat battery

A tracker with no sleep mode, or with the wrong power settings, can flatten the battery over a few days of standing idle.

Fire risk

A poor contact or a missing fuse can lead to a short circuit and set the wiring alight.

Loss of signal

An aerial placed badly, under metal, loses satellites in tunnels and under bridges.

Hardware options

Hyundai, Kia, Lada Vesta

Compact trackers with internal aerials. Concealed installation behind the head unit or the dashboard. Functions: tracking, engine immobilisation, ignition monitoring.

Mountains, tunnels and weak coverage: what we allow for when fitting

A tracker that works perfectly in central Baku may drop out on the pass on the road to Guba or in a gorge near Sheki. That is not a fault - there is simply no mobile coverage there. We configure the hardware for your routes in advance.

What we do:

  • we enable the tracker's internal memory: with no connection it keeps recording points and sends them as soon as the network returns, so the track in Wialon is restored retrospectively;
  • for vehicles that often head into the mountains we fit a tracker with an external GNSS aerial and route it under trim where there is no metal;
  • we choose the SIM card with the best coverage along your routes - Azercell, Bakcell or Nar, and one with roaming for international runs;
  • on plant and heavy equipment in quarries and on building sites we use trackers with IP67 protection against dust and water.

One more point is metallised window tint and athermal glass. They weaken the satellite signal noticeably, so in a vehicle like that we put a tracker with an internal aerial somewhere else, or choose a model with an external aerial.

Advantages of the service

Fitting at your site

We save your time by working on your premises.

Warranty

A one-year warranty on the hardware and the fitting work.

Speed

Equipping a single vehicle takes 30-40 minutes.

Reliability

We use Teltonika and Queclink trackers. Have a look at the catalogue of GPS devices.

How to check the tracker was fitted well

Five things worth checking on the day of installation. Our fitters go through them themselves, but a check from the customer's side never hurts:

The tracker is out of sight

Open the glovebox, look under the steering column and the dashboard. If the tracker is visible without removing trim, the driver will find it too.

Power through a fuse

Ask to be shown the connection: a dedicated fuse, no twisted joints and no insulating tape on the factory wiring.

Ignition matches

Switch the ignition on and off - the status in the app should change within a minute. This underpins every trip report.

Mileage adds up

After a week, compare the mileage in the report with the odometer. A small difference is normal, a large one is worth investigating.

Power-loss notification

Ask the fitter to disconnect the power for a minute: the dispatcher should get a notification, and the tracker should stay online on its battery.

What the fitting includes, what it does not, and which documents you keep

Included

Preparing and flashing the tracker, the SIM card, concealed fitting, taking power through a dedicated fuse, connecting the sensors and relays you ordered, sealing, creating the unit in Wialon and checking it on site.

Not included

Repairs to the factory wiring and replacement of a failed battery, removing and refitting aftermarket alarms, dealing with the dealer on your behalf. If we spot a fault during the inspection, we tell you before fitting.

Documents for each vehicle

A completion certificate, photographs of the mounting point, a diagram of the power and sensor wiring, the seal number. For vehicles with a fuel level sensor, a tank calibration table.

Warranty on our work

One year on the hardware and the fitting. Exclusions, such as damage to the tracker during repairs by an outside mechanic, are set out in the contract. In a disputed case, the seal and the photographs in the certificate help settle it.

The price of fitting and what the cost depends on

The price of fitting and what the cost depends on

The final cost of the installation is made up of several parts:

  • The tracker model - for example the Teltonika FMC920, the FMC130 or the FMB140 from our catalogue: they differ in features and in price.
  • The complexity of the fitting - a car, a lorry or plant and heavy equipment call for different amounts of work and time.
  • Additional sensors - a fuel level sensor for fuel control, a connection to the CAN bus, driver identification by iButton, a relay for remote engine immobilisation.
  • The subscription - access to the monitoring platform and the tracker's SIM card traffic.

We carry out fitting on site across Baku and every region of Azerbaijan. The exact quotation follows a short fleet audit: we establish the makes of vehicle, what you need to monitor and which sensors are involved - and send a costing with no hidden lines. What makes up the monthly cost is covered in the article how much GPS monitoring costs.
