Teltonika FMB920 / FMC920:
compact trackers for light vehicles

Two tracker models with the same form factor: the FMB920 uses 2G, while the FMC920 uses LTE with a 2G fallback. Both support compact installation, an immobilisation relay output and compatible BLE accessories — for taxis, rental fleets and private cars.

The 920 Series housing is about the size of a matchbox, so it hides under the dashboard, inside a pillar or in the boot. The antennas are internal, so we choose a spot with no metal above the tracker.

The series suits the Chevrolet Cobalt, Gentra, Damas and Labo when you need position, mileage, ignition and immobilisation. Sensor options are limited: the series does not read CAN, and of the fuel sensors only a compatible analogue one will work, through the AIN input. For digital fuel sensors, CAN or several wired sensors we will suggest another model.

When to choose the FMC920 and when the FMB920

2G networks are gradually being switched off in many countries, so for a fleet that has to run for years the LTE FMC920 leaves you room to spare. The FMB920 is still a sound choice where 2G is stable and no shutdown is planned. The 2G switch-off timetable in Azerbaijan depends on the operators — we follow it and take it into account when specifying.

  • The immobilisation command

The command reaches the tracker while it is connected; on LTE the delay is usually shorter than on a congested 2G network. The conditions are set during configuration: normally the command prevents the engine being restarted once the vehicle has stopped. The wiring and the procedure are agreed in advance.

  • Coverage

Where there is no LTE, the FMC920 falls back to 2G. With no network at all, the track builds up in memory and is sent once the connection returns.

Protection for a rent-to-own business

Taxi fleet owners and investors face missed payments and theft. Here is how the 920 Series helps:

A missed payment

The renter has not transferred the money, so you send an immobilisation command from the platform. The tracker carries it out under the conditions you set: when parked or after a stop, not at speed. Once immobilised, the car will not start normally until you lift the block. It is worth writing the immobilisation procedure into the rental contract.

A theft attempt

The built-in accelerometer detects a parked vehicle being towed or lifted and sends an alarm.

A power cut

If the vehicle battery is disconnected, the tracker raises an external power-loss alarm and keeps running for a while on its internal battery. How long depends on the data transmission mode; the alarm is sent once there is a connection.

Unauthorised trips

Geofences track a taxi leaving Baku or the surrounding region, with reports generated automatically.

What the 920 Series can do

Feature

Stopping the engine remotely

A controllable digital output for an immobilisation relay (fuel pump or ignition). The conditions for carrying out the command are set in the configuration: immobilisation only at zero speed or with the ignition off, for example. We wire the relay into the fuel pump or ignition circuit so that the engine cannot cut out while the vehicle is moving.

Deep Sleep

Sleep mode when parked.

128 MB

Flash memory.

Universal power supply

The FMB920 runs on 6–30 V and the FMC920 on 10–30 V: mopeds, cars and lorries.

Covert installation and low power draw

In Ultra Deep Sleep the 920 Series trackers draw very little, so ordinary parking does not noticeably flatten the battery. For vehicles that stand for weeks we configure the sleep mode separately.

Minimal power draw

Why the 920 Series

European build

Made in Lithuania, one-year warranty.

A choice of network

Budget 2G or fast 4G/LTE.

Backup power

Built-in 170 mAh Li-Ion battery.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
