Lease Control: monitoring cars on lease and on finance
A solution on the Wialon platform for leasing companies, dealerships and rental firms. Position, geofences and tampering events help you notice a problem sooner and find the vehicle. Recovering the asset itself remains a legal procedure under the contract.

Dependable monitoring that heads problems off
Vehicle leasing and car finance are profitable businesses, but risky ones. Stolen cars and missed payments head the list of threats to the margin. The usual GPS tools are often loaded with functions nobody needs, or of no use at all when a car is genuinely taken. Ours is a niche solution: it was built specifically for car dealers and finance companies, to keep track of a vehicle and, where it comes to that, to find it sooner and arrange its return.
Finding the vehicle, and immobilising it safely
If the borrower has broken the terms or stopped answering, the system shows the last known position of the vehicle and the history of its movements. That helps the security team and the lawyers act sooner, but it does not replace the repossession procedure set out in the contract and in law.
Blocking the engine from starting is technically possible through a relay, but it has to be used carefully:
- the command must block only the next start — the engine must never be cut while the vehicle is moving, that puts people in danger;
- the right to immobilise the vehicle and the conditions for it must be written into the contract with the customer;
- the decision to immobilise is taken by an authorised member of staff, not by automation, and every action is recorded in the log;
- if there is no connection in that area, the command will only be carried out once it is restored.
What this is and who develops it
- The platform: Wialon, by Gurtam. Lease Control is the name under which we describe a set of Wialon functions for leasing and car finance: the map, geofences, tampering notifications, commands to the tracker, and trip history.
- What GPS.az does: choosing the tracker and fitting it out of sight, the relay that blocks the engine start, setting up geofences and notifications, access rights for the security team, training and support.
- Roles under the contract: the lessor or the bank owns the data and takes the decisions on what to do; the customer is told about the monitoring in the contract; GPS.az is the technical contractor and takes no action in respect of the customer.
- Licence: the terms of connection are stated in the commercial offer.

A quick start, and mobility
To make the software as quick to pick up as possible, we have taken out everything superfluous.
