Teltonika GH5200:
A personal GPS tracker for staff safety
A compact device for field crews, security guards and lone workers. SOS button, automatic fall detection (Man-Down), two-way voice communication. Battery life depends on how often the device reports — from a couple of days to a week.
GPS monitoring is not only for vehicles
The GH5200 is a personal tracker the size of a key fob, for keeping track of people and keeping them safe. Field engineers, cash couriers, guards on patrol and fitters on remote oil and gas sites all work out of their manager's sight, and when something goes wrong minutes matter.
The device sends its coordinates to the same monitoring system as your vehicle trackers: the dispatcher sees vehicles and people on one map. And the built-in speaker and microphone turn the GH5200 into a means of emergency communication without a phone.
SOS button and fall detection
The tracker raises the alarm; organising help is your own team's job — without an agreed procedure an SOS button achieves little.
-
SOS alarm button
One press sends an alarm with the last known position to the dispatcher, and the device dials the numbers you have set. How quickly it arrives depends on the network: inside coverage it is usually a matter of seconds, and with no network the alarm goes out once the signal returns. Indoors the position may be inaccurate or out of date.
-
Man-Down: looking after lone workers
The accelerometer recognises a sharp fall followed by a lack of movement. If someone falls and does not move, the tracker sounds a warning after a pause and, unless it is cancelled, sends an alarm. This matters for work at height, in tank farms and on night patrols. False alarms are possible if the device is simply dropped, so we set the thresholds to suit the kind of work.
What does a personal tracker actually solve?
When people work alone or away from base, managers keep coming back to the same questions:
Safety of lone workers
A patrolman, a night-shift guard, an electrician at a substation. Man-Down and SOS pass the alarm to the dispatcher while the worker is within mobile coverage — so an incident is known about during the shift, not the next morning.
Keeping track of field crews
How long did the fitter spend on site, and did he visit every point on the route? The track and the geofence reports answer that without phone calls and arguments.
Patrol discipline
Patrol routes are set as geofences: the system records that the guard really did walk every checkpoint on the perimeter rather than signing the log.
Communication without a phone
Two-way voice: the dispatcher calls the tracker directly and the device answers automatically. Useful where getting a smartphone out is awkward; mobile coverage is required.
Technical strengths of the GH5200
A multi-level alarm
A configurable SOS button: an alarm to the server, an SMS with coordinates and automatic dialling down a list of numbers. There is a separate silent alarm as well — no sound, no vibration, unnoticed by an attacker.
Advantages of the GH5200
People and vehicles together
One monitoring account for cars, machinery and staff.
Man-Down
An alarm on a fall and stillness, if the worker does not cancel the signal.
Compact
A belt clip or a lanyard — it does not get in the way of the job.
Local SIM cards
Works with Bakcell, Azercell and Nar SIM cards; call quality depends on coverage at the site.
What the cost is made up of
The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
