Teltonika FTC927:
the track does not break without satellites

A compact LTE Cat 1 tracker with dead reckoning: in an underground car park, a tunnel or under a GPS jammer it fills in the vehicle's path from its gyroscope and accelerometer. Bluetooth 5.4 for EYE beacons and sensors, and an output for an immobilisation relay.

A tracker for vehicles that drive and park where there are no satellites

An ordinary tracker draws the track for as long as it can see satellites. At the entrance to an underground car park or a tunnel the line stops, and when the vehicle comes out it starts again; what happened in between is unknown. The FTC927 works the position out for itself in that gap: the accelerometer shows acceleration and braking, the gyroscope shows the turns.

The 93 × 43 × 12.5 mm case weighs 65 g and hides under the dashboard; the antennas are built in. The tracker is meant for the track, mileage, ignition, alerts and immobilisation. It has no interfaces for CAN or digital fuel level sensors — for those jobs we use the FMC130 or the FMB140.

How dead reckoning works

The position comes from two sources. While satellites are visible the coordinates come from them: the FTC927 receives GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou and tracks up to 41 visible satellites at once. When the signal is lost, the tracker switches to calculating from its motion sensors, and when the signal returns it corrects the position from the satellites.

  • It is a calculation, not a measurement

The error grows with every minute without satellites. For a tunnel or a car park entrance the accuracy is enough to tell the direction and the place; over a long stretch with no signal the calculation gradually loses accuracy.

  • Sending needs a mobile network

Calculated points go to the server for as long as there is a network. If there is no coverage underground, they build up in the tracker's memory (128 MB) and arrive once the vehicle is out.

How dead reckoning works

Where an ordinary track breaks off

Four situations in which the FTC927 shows more than a tracker without a gyroscope:

Underground car parks

Shopping centres, residential complexes and multi-storey car parks in Baku: the track reaches the spot inside instead of stopping at the entrance.

Tunnels

On a stretch without satellites you can see which way the vehicle went, not just where it went in.

A GPS jammer

The tracker detects the jamming and goes on calculating the path from its sensors. If the mobile network is jammed as well, the points arrive later from memory.

Dense building

In a city centre, where the satellite signal is unstable, the track carries on from the motion sensors.

What the FTC927 does

Function

Position by calculation

The accelerometer and gyroscope are built in; no separate modules are needed. Switching between satellites and calculation is automatic. The tracker is fixed rigidly to the body, and after fitting the sensors are calibrated on a drive.

128 MB

Memory for points while offline.

−30…+85 °C

Operating temperature.

10–30 V supply

Suits 12 V and 24 V vehicle electrics. Nominal consumption at 12 V is under 25 mA.

Power and behaviour when parked

Three sleep modes — Online sleep, Deep sleep and Power off sleep — cut consumption while the vehicle is parked. If the vehicle's supply is disconnected, the tracker sends an alert and runs for a while on its built-in 170 mAh battery.

A 1-year warranty on the hardware and the fitting.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
