Teltonika EYE Sensor:
Wireless temperature and door monitoring
A BLE sensor for refrigerated transport, pharmaceutical loads and the cold chain. Temperature, humidity, movement and door openings without running wiring through the body. Built-in battery, IP67 housing.
The cold chain under control — without wiring
Carrying food, medicines and flowers means being able to prove the temperature was held: one thaw in a refrigerated body and the customer claims for the whole consignment. The EYE Sensor lets you monitor temperature without drilling the walls of an insulated body or running cables.
A sensor the size of a matchbox is stuck or screwed inside the body and sends its data to the tracker over Bluetooth. Temperature, humidity, movement and the state of the magnetic door contact reach the monitoring system and stay in the reports — which is what you fall back on in a dispute with the cargo owner.
Four measurements in one sensor
The EYE Sensor brings together everything needed to keep an eye on a load.
-
Temperature and humidity
The sensor works from −20 to +60 °C: that covers the +2…+8°C pharmaceutical window and frozen goods down to −20 °C, but not deep freeze below that; we confirm the accuracy against the data sheet for the version supplied. The humidity sensor keeps watch over the conditions for flowers, fruit and medicines.

Magnetic door contact
The kit with a magnet records every opening of the body doors: the time, the place and how long they were open. An opening away from an unloading point is an alarm for the dispatcher as soon as the tracker sends data. No limit switches and no wiring through the door hinges.
Which risks does the EYE Sensor close off?
In temperature-controlled transport, money is lost in four typical situations:
A thawed load
The driver shuts the fridge unit down for a couple of hours to save fuel. The sensor shows the temperature rising and the dispatcher is notified once it crosses the threshold — leaving time to call the driver before the consignment is spoiled.
Customer claims
The load arrived spoiled — whose fault is it, the carrier's or the sender's warehouse? A temperature graph for the whole trip shows when and where things started to go wrong. If the sensor was out of contact with the gateway for a while, there will be a gap in the graph — and that shows up too.
Theft from the body
Doors opened away from an unloading point — an alarm with coordinates. A magnetic contact makes the classic dropped-a-bit-off-on-the-way arrangement visible.
Pharmaceutical distribution requirements
Pharmaceutical transport calls for a documented cold chain (GDP). Temperature reports from the monitoring system can be used as part of that documentation; what an auditor or a customer will require of them is best established in advance.
Technical strengths of the EYE Sensor
Installation without drilling
The sensor is fixed with double-sided tape or self-tapping screws inside the body. No drilling through insulated walls, no breaking the insulation and no cables run through sealed bulkheads.
Advantages of the EYE Sensor
No wiring
A Bluetooth link to the tracker — installation without drilling.
Four parameters at once
Temperature, humidity, movement, magnetic contact.
Simpler installation
No cables through the insulation and the door hinges — less work and fewer points of failure.
Reporting you can stand behind
Temperature graphs for the trip are an argument when a claim is investigated.
