Teltonika EYE Beacon:
A BLE tag for identifying assets

A miniature Bluetooth tag for trailers, containers, tools and pallets. A vehicle's GPS tracker detects tags nearby, and the platform shows which trailer is with which tractor unit and where a piece of equipment was last seen. The battery is built in and cannot be replaced; it lasts for years, depending on the transmit power and the interval. Once it runs out, the whole tag is replaced.

Asset records without paper logs

In logistics the constant headache is not the vehicles but what gets hitched to them: trailers, containers, generators, building tools. The dispatcher writes down that tractor unit 90-AB-123 took trailer no. 7, and a week later the trailer turns up on the other side of Baku. With the EYE Beacon the record no longer depends on the dispatcher's memory: the tag broadcasts an identifier, the tractor unit's tracker reads it nearby, and the platform builds detection records and vehicle pairing using configured rules.

The tag is fixed to the asset in a minute — with bolts, cable ties or industrial tape. A Teltonika tracker with Bluetooth, set up to pick up tags, reads its ID within range and passes it to Wialon. The asset-to-vehicle-to-place link is built from that data with no manual entries.

Automatic identification over Bluetooth

The EYE Beacon broadcasts its identifier over BLE. A vehicle's tracker hears the tags nearby and sends the list of tags it has seen with its next data packet. The range depends on the transmit power, the metal around it and where it is mounted: in an open yard it is tens of metres, behind a steel wall noticeably less.

  • Pairing with nothing for the driver to do

Trailer pairing is inferred from tag visibility and configured rules: signal strength, detection time and vehicle movement, so the trailer parked next door is kept out of the pairing. When the signal is lost, the system retains the last detection — a reason to check the trailer, rather than proof that it has been uncoupled.

  • Years without recharging

The tag runs on a built-in battery, with no wiring and no charging. Battery life depends on the transmit power and the interval; the charge level is visible in the platform.

What can be tagged?

The EYE Beacon helps keep track of things where fitting a full GPS tracker is too expensive or simply impossible:

Trailers and semi-trailers

Automatic pairing of a trailer with its tractor unit. The Wialon report shows which trailer went out with which vehicle and where it was last seen.

Containers and swap bodies

Swap bodies and containers are easier to find between sites: they are picked up by any of the company's tracked vehicles passing nearby. If nobody has passed, the system keeps the last place it was detected.

Tools and equipment

Generators, compressors and vibratory rammers on a construction site: when a service van approaches, the report shows which tagged items it detected.

Pallets and packaging

Returnable packaging and pallets carrying valuable goods: a forklift or a tracked van records what came into the warehouse and left it, and when.

Technical capabilities

Feature

Adjustable range

A BLE transmitter with adjustable power and interval. The iBeacon and Eddystone protocols mean compatibility with Teltonika trackers and third-party readers.

BLE

No SIM, no wiring.

IP67

Housing protection.

Teltonika Asset Visibility

The EYE Beacon works together with Teltonika FMB and FMC series trackers, which GPS.az installs on vehicles across Azerbaijan.

The economics of it

A tag needs no SIM card and no subscription. One tracker on a vehicle hears several tags around it; exactly how many it sends at a time depends on the tracker model and its settings.

Advantages of the EYE Beacon

No SIM, no subscription

The tag sends its data through the vehicle's tracker; it has no SIM of its own.

Fitted in a minute

Bolts, cable ties or 3M tape — it attaches to any surface without wiring.

No manual entries

Assets are linked to vehicles from the tracker's data; the driver has nothing to do.

Fleet-wide rollout

A tag is simpler and cheaper than a tracker, so a whole fleet of trailers, packaging and tools can be tagged.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
