Howen V8:
a 2+1 channel AI video recorder

A compact AI dashcam with two built-in cameras — one on the road, one on the cabin — and room for one more external camera. The V8 recognises driver fatigue and distraction, warns by voice and sends alerts to the dispatcher in Wialon. It suits taxi companies, courier services and corporate car fleets.

A camera with AI watching both the road and the driver

Phone use at the wheel, fatigue and unsafe following distances create risks for a fleet. The Howen V8 detects supported signs and warns the driver by voice. Warnings help drivers respond to danger but do not guarantee accident prevention.

The device mounts on the windscreen: the front camera records the road and the cabin camera records the driver. Supported AI events and video are sent to Wialon when connected. Event types, the video module and driver-rating rules are agreed during setup.

DMS + ADAS AI analytics

Two neural-network modules, DMS and ADAS, run on the device itself. The voice warning sounds in the cab without waiting for a server, and the event and its footage reach the dispatcher once there is 4G. Accuracy depends on how the camera is mounted, on the lighting and on the sensitivity settings.

  • DMS — monitoring the driver

Recognition of fatigue and closing eyes, a phone held to the ear, smoking and eyes wandering from the road. The driver gets a voice warning in the cab the moment it is recognised.

  • ADAS — monitoring the road

Watching the distance to the vehicle in front, with warnings about lane departure and the risk of a collision with the vehicle ahead on faster stretches.

Who needs the Howen V8?

The 2+1 format covers what cars and light commercial vehicles need:

Taxi fleets

The cabin camera protects the driver in disputes with passengers, and DMS warns about fatigue on night shifts. To deal with a complaint you only need to find the footage by the time of the ride.

Courier services

Keeping an eye on how couriers drive in heavy Baku traffic. Harsh manoeuvres and phone use at the wheel are recorded with video.

Corporate fleets

An objective driver rating for the fleet department. Footage from the scene of an accident helps in dealing with the insurer and the other party.

Intercity transport

On the Baku–Ganja road, fatigue is one of the main risks. DMS sounds an alarm for the driver and sends the event to the dispatcher as soon as there is a connection.

Technical capabilities

Feature

A flexible camera layout

Two built-in cameras (1080P on the road, plus a cabin camera with IR illumination for night footage) and an input for one external camera — on the tailgate or in the cargo compartment.

Video channels: two built-in cameras and one external.

DMS + ADAS

AI on board.

Howen AI Vision

GPS.az is Howen’s exclusive partner in Azerbaijan. The cabin camera with IR illumination works at night too; recognition through dark glasses and in strong glare is something we test on a pilot vehicle.

An all-in-one unit instead of a separate recorder

The V8 combines the main components in a windscreen-mounted unit, removing the need for a separate recorder. Power and additional cameras require cables; cable routing depends on the vehicle and configuration.

Benefits of the Howen V8

All in one

A GPS tracker, a video recorder and AI analytics in a single compact housing.

Genuine AI on board

DMS and ADAS run locally: the driver hears a warning when an event is detected, and the dispatcher can review it using video.

Numbers on your drivers

A rating based on DMS and ADAS events shows which drivers to work with first.

Simple installation

It fits on the windscreen without stripping the interior, so the fleet is equipped without long downtime.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
