BSJ ED02R-V2:
an AI MDVR with blind spot monitoring

A 4-channel on-board video recorder with three AI modules: ADAS watches the road, DMS watches the driver, BSD watches the blind spots. The open BSJ protocol lets you connect the device to Wialon, RedGPS or Uffizio without a middleman. GPS.az is BSJ IoT’s exclusive partner in Azerbaijan.

Three AI modules in one recorder

Most video recorders cover one job: either recording or watching the driver. The BSJ ED02R-V2 brings together three strands of safety — the road ahead (ADAS), the driver’s condition (DMS) and the blind spots along the sides (BSD). For articulated lorries and heavy machinery, where part of the perimeter is not visible from the cab, that is the combination most fleets ask for. Each AI module works with its own camera: no side camera means no BSD, no driver-facing camera means no DMS.

The device is built on Linux OS with a modular software architecture: AI functions are enabled and configured in software, and firmware updates arrive over the air. Which modules are active on a particular device depends on the configuration and the firmware — before you order we check that against the specification of the version being supplied.

ADAS + DMS + BSD: the road, driver and selected blind spot

The neural-network modules run on board and cover three areas: the road ahead, the cab and the side of the vehicle. Reversing and the load bed are covered by an ordinary camera on a free channel.

  • ADAS and DMS

Warnings about lane departure, an unsafe following distance and collision risk, plus recognition of fatigue, phone use and driver distraction.

  • BSD — blind spots

A side AI camera detects pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists in the blind spot when turning and changing lanes — in town that is a common way a truck hits someone. The field of view is limited by the camera’s angle and by where it is mounted.

Where does the ED02R-V2 work best?

The recorder is meant for commercial transport with higher safety requirements:

Logistics fleets

Articulated lorries and medium-tonnage trucks on routes from Baku to the regions. Video review of accidents, fatigue monitoring on long legs, driver ratings.

Heavy machinery

Concrete mixers, cranes, refuse trucks: BSD warns the driver about people in the blind spot in courtyards and on construction sites; the decision at the wheel still rests with the driver.

Dangerous goods

Fuel and chemical hauliers get documented monitoring of driving style and a video archive for audits and approvals.

Staff transport

Shift buses and works transport at industrial sites: speed, discipline and the cabin all covered by one device.

Technical capabilities

Modular software architecture

AI modules, protocols and alarm logic are configured in software. Updates can add functions within the hardware capabilities; some functions require suitable cameras and enabled modules.

BSJ IoT Open Platform

GPS.az is BSJ IoT’s exclusive partner in Azerbaijan: supply, integration with Wialon, RedGPS and Uffizio, dispatcher training and warranty service.

The open BSJ ecosystem

BSJ IoT is a manufacturer with its own R&D and an open protocol. That is a rarity in the MDVR market: you choose the monitoring platform, rather than the platform choosing you.

Benefits of the ED02R-V2

BSD as standard

Blind spot monitoring is a built-in AI module of the device; it does require a side camera in the kit.

Freedom of platform

An open protocol: Wialon, RedGPS, Uffizio or the customer’s own system.

Linux architecture

A stable OS, OTA updates and functions extended in software.

One unit

Three AI functions in one recorder: one unit, one SIM and one platform integration instead of several separate devices.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
