BSJ DR03:
a compact AI video recorder

A three-channel video recorder with a 1.0 TOPS neural processor on board. Two built-in cameras — road and cabin — plus an optional external one. AI events are generated in the device itself, with no server and no subscription fee for the analytics. It suits taxi companies, delivery services and small fleets. GPS.az is BSJ IoT’s exclusive partner in Azerbaijan.

AI video monitoring without complicated infrastructure

Full MDVR systems are overkill for a car fleet: they need wiring runs, somewhere to put the unit and a larger budget. The DR03 handles the same safety tasks as a compact all-in-one unit on the windscreen — it takes 30 minutes to fit and leaves the interior untouched.

The key difference with the DR03 is its built-in NPU rated at 1.0 TOPS. Fatigue, phone use at the wheel and an unsafe following distance are recognised on board, so the voice warning does not wait for a server to answer. The event, with a still and a video clip, reaches the platform once there is a 4G connection; with no connection it is held in the device and sent later. Which AI functions are enabled depends on the DR03 version and firmware supplied — we check that before you order.

NPU 1.0 TOPS: analytics on board, no server

The neural processor analyses video on the device, so a separate AI analytics server is unnecessary. The SIM card carries position data, events and requested video. Data use depends on the reporting frequency and use of live streaming.

  • DMS on board

Fatigue, closed eyes, a phone, smoking and distraction are recognised locally, and the driver hears a voice warning in the cab. Accuracy depends on the camera position, the lighting and how the trigger thresholds are set.

  • ADAS warnings

The front camera monitors following distance and lane position. Events with video clips are sent to the dispatcher over 4G when connected. Lane-departure warnings require visible road markings; other ADAS functions are tested under your route conditions.

Who is the DR03 built for?

Its compact format and quick installation make the DR03 convenient for cars and light commercial vehicles. For buses and trucks that need a lot of cameras, an MDVR is the better fit:

Taxi fleets

The cabin camera with IR illumination records disputes with passengers, while DMS keeps drivers disciplined on long shifts.

Delivery services

Keeping an eye on driving style in dense city traffic. Harsh acceleration, braking and phone use at the wheel — all with video to back them up.

Small fleets

5–20 vehicles are equipped in a day or two with no control-room infrastructure: events arrive in a cloud platform and on the manager’s phone.

Corporate saloons

Video protection for accidents and disputes in car parks. The optional third camera covers the view behind.

Technical capabilities

Feature

A neural network on board

A dedicated neural processor analyses the video on board. Recognition needs no server and no cloud analytics; the network is only needed to send events and live video.

1.0

TOPS neural processor.

30 min

To fit one vehicle.

BSJ Edge AI

GPS.az is BSJ IoT’s exclusive partner in Azerbaijan. On-board analytics reduce the volume of video transmitted and keep monthly costs predictable; data use depends on the reporting mode and use of live video.

The economics of a small fleet

The DR03 gives small fleets the kind of AI safety large hauliers have — without a server, an in-house analyst or a complicated installation.

Benefits of the DR03

AI without a server

Every event is generated on board — no servers and no cloud analytics to pay for separately.

Compact

An all-in-one unit on the windscreen: it takes up no space inside and needs no panels removed.

Quick to roll out

30 minutes per vehicle — a fleet of 10 cars is ready in a day.

A simple kit

An all-in-one unit without a separate recorder unit or long cable runs — fewer components and less installation work than a multi-camera MDVR system.

Price and connection

What the cost is made up of

Hardware
The price of the device depends on the model and the configuration. Genuine supply, one-year warranty.
Fitting and setup
Fitting by a mobile crew in Baku and the regions, connection to the Wialon platform and a check on site.
SIM and connectivity
A SIM card with a data allowance is part of the connection; international runs use roaming tariffs.
Subscription
A monthly monitoring fee: the platform, history storage, reports and technical support. Discounts from ten assets.

The final figure depends on the type of vehicle, the set of sensors and the size of the fleet. We will prepare an exact quote for your case free of charge after a short audit — within one working day.
